Wynnum, Saturday July 3 1999, 8.15pm

A bright orange object like a ball of flame in the eastern sky was observed by 4 witnesses. As it approached it got brighter and then dimmed. Two other objects fell from this object, burnt and went out as the main object dimmed. It seemed to move west then north. At 8.50pm a second similar object was seen in the same part of the sky moving in a similar way. The apparent size of the objects was about 3 mm at arm’s length. It was a dark and moonless night and stars were visible. The objects seemed to maintain a constant elevation.
