It was around half past eight or so and I was out for a stroll around our property in Cornubia when I looked up into the sky to see the stars. I noticed a glimpse of light travelling between two trees that separate us from our neighbour’s backyard. From the distance between it and me, I estimated it was around 400-500 miles away, high in the sky, just hovering. I stood there being eaten alive by mossies just watching this thing for more than half an hour. I ended up dragging my dad off the couch and outside to show him the bright object and see what he thought. He also thought it definitely didn’t look like a plane or passing satellite. He took out his telescope and we looked through it. It looked like a large bright star looking as if it was moving incredibly slowly up and down and occasionally back and forth, and seemed to be flashing an array of colours, including white then blue-orange-green-red.
