Darra, Saturday January 9 1999, 8.50pm

A couple were proceeding south along Centenary Highway and saw a blue flashing light moving to their right and up “really fast”. It was seen for about 4 seconds during which it covered a lot of sky. It flashed rapidly, about 10 times a second. There was no noise, the light was bright and close to white in colour. It was shaped like a semicircle on top, and like a triangle below. Its apparent size was about half that of a 5 cent coin at arm’s length.
